The AIPACS Field Hospital concept provides one of the most portable and easily deployable systems available in the world for Governments and Humanitarian Aid Organisations undertaking overseas or domestic field operations. An entire hospital can be transported by air to the operational area, erected and ready to accept casualties within hours of arrival.

Standard Layout

This 50 bed hospital in standard format  is made up from 8 x individual 4 arch, 2 door 41m2 modules; 1 x 4 arch, 4 door 41m2 module;1 x 5 arch, 2 door 55m2 module and 1 x 105m2 multi-module; 2 x 2 arch, 4 door connecting modules and 10 x connecting corridors are also provided to complete the hospital structure.

Pneumatic Modules


The pneumatic modules that make up the hospital are made from high tenacity polyester PVC coated fabric. Fire resistant class 2. Specifically designed to meet the exacting requirements of civilian, civil defence and military agencies around the world.

Each module comes complete with a carry bag, aluminium spacing bars, pegs, hammer, repair kit manual inflator / deflator, technical manual, internal insulating sheet, environmental control unit, lighting system and ground levelling tiles. Sun shadowing protection sheets are provided with the modules where air conditioning units are to be employed. Electric inflator / deflator units are also supplied as part of the overall package. Integral groundsheets are standard and some modules are supplied with room dividers where applicable to provide for separate sections within that module.

A single 41m2 module can be erected by one man in less than 4 minutes using the inflator supplied

The Air Beam System (ABS) employed enables these modules to be erected easily and quickly using the inflator supplied. ABS is a proven service product with several European NATO countries which can be operated in the most harsh and extreme climatic conditions. It is completely unaffected by UV degradation.
